Think that Snapchatters are just vapid youth with nothing better to do with their time than upload crazy videos and images that disappear? Think again. These five Snapchat influencers prove that snapping is a career of substance. Four out of five of them have quit their day jobs and are creating quality programming for their audiences and the brands they love. At Everywhere Agency, we’re always on the hunt for a great Snapper with marketing appeal, and we think we’ve found the five top Snapchat influencers any brand would want to work with.

Danny Berk

To say Danny Berk is “AWESOME” would be to snag a “fave” phrase from this San Diego surfer dude. We’ve worked with Danny multiple times on Cox Communications campaigns, and he’s riding a wave of success. Danny has more than your average dose of positive energy and throws it all into his snaps – complete with crazy stunts. Skydiving? You got it. Bungee jumping? Why not? He starts every snap with “We’re here, we’re live” and a beach boy’s smile.

Perfect collaboration: Any sports, food, or adventure brands, “for sure! “

Fun facts: He was nominated for the coveted Shorty Award (up against DJ Khaled no less), and he’s ambidextrous, which might just make snapping and surfing easier.

CyreneQ

Cyrene is the perfect combo of brains and aesthetics. She’s a visual artist – with three different degrees – so every one of her snaps is a trip through her inventive imagination. Cyrene really gets the interactive nature of Snapchat and engages her audience to participate, play games, and help determine where her story is going next. I personally love Snappers who bring their art, heart, and soul into their point of view – and that’s Cyrene in a nutshell.

Perfect collaboration: Cyrene would truly be great for any brand that embraces whimsy. I could see her with a hip fashion brand or any creative-focused consumer packaged well.

Fun facts: She lives in Arkansas and left her very corporate job to snap full time. Oh, and you pronounce her name “sigh-reen,” not “siren”!

Rhodes411

Ever want to live vicariously through somebody else’s adventures? Rhodes brings his audience along on his exotic travels and life experiences. Did I mention he’s funny AND handsome? Rhodes hails from Toronto, which probably explains a lot. (Don’t they export all their comedians to the USA?) He’s also a complete wizard with his iPhone, bringing an “experiential” approach to his camera work.

Perfect collaboration: Travel, travel, travel. Actually, any entertainment or sports brand would be perfect for Rhodes411.

Fun facts: This Canuck spends half his time in LA and was nominated for Best Snapchat Storyteller of the Year at the Ghosties. He’s also a Twitter influencer who has several accounts, with a total of over 8 million followers.

Evan Garber

Evan, better known as EmGarber to his fans, takes the art of Snapchat to a whole new level. Every snap is an opportunity for him to embellish an image with his clever drawings, trick shots, emojis and plain, old-fashioned silly fun. When you follow EmGarber on Snapchat, you get art, video, sound effects, stop motion and pizza. Yes, pizza figures into regularly into his snaps.

Perfect collaboration: Sky’s the limit, but I see Emgarber partnering with a technology or food brand – did anyone say pizza?

Fun Facts: He graduated from college with an engineering degree but left the industry to become a full-time Snapchatter. Evan would happily eat a pizza a day and was part of the first scripted Snapchat series, SnapperHero.

SalliaSnap

Science meet Snapchat. Sallia is a professed weirdo with a love for science who runs a show called “Snap Science.” Meet her on Snapchat to understand complicated scientific theorems or how things work, exactly. Sallia really does bridge the gap between art and science because her snaps are as creative as they are scientifically proven. As far as I know Sallia is the only person actively running a science show on Snapchat.

Perfect collaboration: Anyone trying to recruit millennials for those STEM jobs, or tech-gadget companies who would benefit from Sallia explaining a thing or two.

Fun Facts: Social media is not her day job. She works as a project engineer at a gas utility company. Like our other Snappers, Sallia was nominated both for a Ghostie and a Shorty Award.
